INTRODUCTION
Halitosis or breath odor is defined as an unpleasant or offensive odor emanating from the mouth. Halitosis is regarded as genuine when symptoms are objectively present (subclassified into physiologic and pathologic), while two other forms distinguished are pseudohalitosis and halitophobia.
